Webhook

Definition

An automated HTTP notification sent from one system to another when a specific event occurs — used in affiliate marketing to pass conversion data between platforms in real time.

How Webhook work

When a defined event fires in your platform (a purchase, signup, or subscription renewal), your system sends an HTTP POST request to a Partnero webhook endpoint containing the event data. Partnero receives this payload, extracts the relevant affiliate identifier and conversion value, and records the commission immediately.

Why it matters for your program

Webhooks enable real-time, reliable conversion attribution without requiring page-level tracking code. They are the preferred integration method for businesses with custom platforms, mobile apps, or complex checkout flows where JavaScript snippet tracking is unreliable or impractical.
