Share personalized lake-inspired jewelry with your audience, friends, customers, or community and earn commission on qualifying sales. Each ambassador receives a unique referral link and discount code to share with others.

These Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions govern participation in the Finding Latitude Lake Circle Affiliate Program. By applying to or participating in the program, you agree to the terms below.

1. Program Overview

The Finding Latitude Lake Circle Affiliate Program allows approved affiliates, ambassadors, creators, and referral partners to earn commissions by promoting Finding Latitude products through approved referral links, discount codes, and marketing content.

Finding Latitude sells personalized lake-life jewelry and keepsakes, including engraved icons, coordinates, dates, words, and meaningful places connected to lakes, camps, cabins, docks, marinas, and special memories on the water.

Participation in the program does not create an employment, partnership, agency, franchise, or joint venture relationship between Finding Latitude and the affiliate.

2. Eligibility and Approval

Participation is by application and subject to manual approval by Finding Latitude.

We may approve or reject any application at our sole discretion. We may also remove any affiliate from the program at any time if we believe the affiliate is not a good fit for the brand, violates these terms, uses misleading marketing practices, or acts in a way that could harm Finding Latitude.

Ideal affiliates include, but are not limited to:

Lake moms and lake families

Boating families

Camp families

Lake house, cabin, or cottage owners

Photographers

Boutique owners

Marina-connected partners

Vacation rental hosts

Real estate agents near lake communities

Micro and nano creators with authentic lake-life, family, outdoor, travel, or gifting audiences

3. Commission Structure

Approved affiliates may earn a commission on eligible sales generated through their approved referral link or unique promo code.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the standard commission rate is:

15% of the net sale amount per confirmed eligible order.

The net sale amount excludes shipping, taxes, discounts, refunds, chargebacks, gift cards, and any other non-product charges.

Finding Latitude may adjust commission rates, bonus structures, or promotional incentives at any time. Any changes will apply going forward and will not affect already-approved commissions unless the order is later refunded, canceled, or determined to be fraudulent.

4. Customer Discount Codes

Affiliates may receive a unique customer discount code, typically offering customers 10% off their order.

Discount codes may not be posted to coupon sites, deal forums, browser-extension coupon tools, or unauthorized third-party discount platforms.

Affiliates may not misrepresent a discount as exclusive, limited-time, or guaranteed unless Finding Latitude has specifically approved that language.

5. Eligible and Ineligible Sales

A sale is eligible for commission when:

The customer places an order through the affiliate’s approved referral link or uses the affiliate’s approved promo code.

The order is successfully paid.

The order is not canceled, refunded, returned, fraudulent, or otherwise invalid.

The affiliate followed these terms.

A sale is not eligible for commission if:

The order is canceled, refunded, charged back, or fraudulent.

The affiliate purchases through their own link or code unless specifically approved.

The affiliate uses misleading claims, spam, unauthorized ads, or coupon abuse.

The sale was generated through a prohibited marketing method.

The customer was already in an active Finding Latitude sales, wholesale, or partnership process before the referral.

Finding Latitude has final authority to determine whether a sale is eligible for commission.

6. Payouts

Commissions are paid according to the payout schedule listed in the affiliate platform or as communicated by Finding Latitude.

Commissions will only be paid after the applicable return/refund review period has passed. Finding Latitude may withhold or reverse commissions for refunded, canceled, disputed, or fraudulent orders.

Affiliates are responsible for providing accurate payment information and any required tax information. Affiliates are responsible for any taxes owed on commissions received.

7. Gifted Product Opportunities

Finding Latitude may offer select affiliates a free or discounted product in exchange for content, feedback, photos, videos, or testimonials.

Receiving gifted or discounted product does not guarantee a positive review, and affiliates are expected to share only honest opinions.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, affiliates who accept gifted product agree to provide reasonable content such as:

2 to 3 lifestyle photos

1 short video, reel, or story

Honest product feedback or testimonial

Permission for Finding Latitude to reuse submitted content for marketing purposes

Finding Latitude may approve or decline gifted product requests at its sole discretion.

8. FTC Disclosure Requirements

Affiliates must clearly disclose their relationship with Finding Latitude whenever promoting Finding Latitude products, referral links, discount codes, gifted products, or any content that may result in commission.

Disclosure is required when an affiliate receives money, commission, free product, discounted product, gifts, or any other benefit from Finding Latitude.

Disclosures must be clear, easy to understand, and placed where customers will notice them. Do not hide disclosures at the end of a long caption, only on a profile page, or among many hashtags.

Acceptable disclosure examples include:

“I may earn a commission if you purchase through my link.”

“This necklace was gifted by Finding Latitude.”

“Ad: I’m a Finding Latitude Lake Circle ambassador.”

“I’m a Finding Latitude affiliate, and I may earn from qualifying purchases.”

“Gifted by Finding Latitude. Use my code [CODE] to save.”

For social media posts, affiliates should include the disclosure near the beginning of the caption or clearly within the video/story itself. For videos, reels, or live content, the disclosure should be visible and/or spoken clearly.

Affiliates are responsible for complying with FTC rules, platform rules, and all applicable laws. The FTC states that influencers are responsible for making these disclosures and should not rely on others to do it for them.

9. Marketing Guidelines

Affiliates should promote Finding Latitude in a way that is warm, honest, personal, and story-driven.

Approved themes include:

Lake memories

Family traditions

Summer camp gifts

Lake house or cabin keepsakes

Boating life

Personalized coordinates

Meaningful places on the water

Gifts for moms, daughters, bridesmaids, campers, lake families, or vacation homeowners

Affiliates may not:

Make false or misleading claims.

Guarantee delivery dates unless provided by Finding Latitude.

Claim that products are handmade, waterproof, hypoallergenic, or made in a specific country unless Finding Latitude has confirmed that claim.

Use offensive, discriminatory, misleading, or inappropriate content.

Copy Finding Latitude’s website, branding, or product listings in a way that could confuse customers.

Represent themselves as an employee or official spokesperson of Finding Latitude.

Use spam, mass unsolicited messages, fake accounts, bots, or misleading giveaways.

Promote Finding Latitude on coupon sites or unauthorized deal platforms.

10. Paid Advertising Restrictions

Affiliates may not run paid ads using the Finding Latitude brand name, product names, domain name, or similar misspellings without written permission.

Affiliates may not bid on branded keywords such as:

FindingLatitude.com

Finding Latitude necklace

Lake Circle

Any confusingly similar terms or misspellings

Affiliates may not create ads that appear to come directly from Finding Latitude.

11. Social Media, Email, and Group Posting

Affiliates may share Finding Latitude through their own social media, websites, email lists, blogs, and communities, provided they follow all applicable rules.

Affiliates are responsible for following the rules of any Facebook group, online community, platform, or email provider they use.

Affiliates may not spam groups, post in communities where promotional content is not allowed, or send unsolicited bulk messages.

12. Content Usage Rights

By submitting photos, videos, testimonials, reviews, captions, or other content to Finding Latitude, the affiliate grants Finding Latitude a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, repost, edit, crop, display, and distribute the content for marketing, advertising, email, website, social media, and promotional purposes.

Affiliates represent that they own or have the right to share the content they provide and that the content does not violate the rights of any third party.

If other people appear in submitted content, the affiliate is responsible for obtaining any necessary permission before submitting the content to Finding Latitude.

13. Intellectual Property

Finding Latitude owns all rights to its brand name, logo, website content, product photography, product designs, copy, trademarks, and other intellectual property.

Affiliates may use approved brand assets only for the purpose of promoting Finding Latitude as part of the affiliate program.

Affiliates may not alter the Finding Latitude logo, create confusingly similar branding, register domains or social handles containing Finding Latitude’s name, or use Finding Latitude intellectual property in a way that suggests ownership or official control.

14. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations

Commissions are not earned on returned, refunded, canceled, disputed, or fraudulent orders.

If a commission has already been paid on an order that is later refunded or charged back, Finding Latitude may deduct that amount from future commissions or request repayment.

15. Program Changes

Finding Latitude may update, modify, pause, or terminate the affiliate program at any time. This includes changes to commission rates, payout schedules, discount codes, eligibility requirements, gifted product opportunities, and program rules.

Continued participation in the program after changes are posted or communicated means the affiliate accepts the updated terms.

16. Termination

Either party may end the affiliate relationship at any time.

Finding Latitude may immediately terminate an affiliate for:

Violating these terms

Failing to disclose affiliate relationships

Misleading customers

Coupon abuse

Spam or unauthorized advertising

Brand misuse

Fraudulent activity

Inappropriate or harmful conduct

Upon termination, the affiliate must stop using Finding Latitude links, codes, brand assets, and promotional materials.

Any unpaid commissions may be forfeited if the affiliate violated these terms or generated sales through prohibited conduct.

17. Limitation of Liability

Finding Latitude is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages related to participation in the affiliate program.

Finding Latitude does not guarantee that affiliates will earn commissions, receive gifted products, or generate sales.

18. Independent Contractor Status

Affiliates are independent contractors. Nothing in these terms creates an employer-employee relationship, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship.

Affiliates are responsible for their own taxes, expenses, equipment, content creation, and compliance obligations.

19. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Insert State], without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes will be handled in the courts located in [Insert County/State], unless otherwise required by law.
